If you like classic sports cars, then you’ll love the Autotune Aristocat. Kit cars just weren’t meant to look this good!
The Aristocat is a pretty good replica of the Jaguar XK120, but not an exact copy. The extra wide kit car offering a more spacious interior that taller or wider passengers will appreciate.
The demonstrator has been clocked by a representative of the media at 0-60 in six seconds and with a top speed of over 150 mph.
The Aristocat has been highly praised by the media for the exceptional roadholding. The design gives the occupants the maximum amount of protection in an accident including side impact. Alloy panelling on the framework provides extra stiffness, weather proofing, and incorporates a front and rear fireproof bulkhead.
Bolting on a few select extras such as alloy wheels will add the finishing touch to a classic all rounder.
The Gemini
The Gemini is a well proportioned car with a low, wide stance and stiff suspension that suggest it may have pretensions towards the track as well as the road. It has been likened to a miniature D type by many people.
The cockpit is quite spacious, giving ample room in length for taller drivers. The boot space has provision for the spare wheel.
The Gemini has been proving itself and the integrity of design on the race track. In the 1990 and ‘91 seasons, the car won the big engined class fitted with a 3 litre Capri unit, in the national Kit Cars Championship run by the 750 MC. The Rover V8 Gemini has also had good results and broke five lap records in its first seasons racing.
Racing may not be a suitable sport for everyone, but it always gives credibility to the designs that really work. If the kit cars have the ability to be winners on the track then you can be assured that they are more than capable of suiting the driving needs of those who require a sporty road car.
